Has your kitchen turned into a cookie factory? We like to make a lot of cookies throughout the month of December. Unfortunately, we have spent the last couple of weeks battling the winter ickies. I made chocolate chip cookies as a little happy pick-me-up while we are recovering. It helped a little. I hope you are healthy, happy, and joyful this Christmas. And, I hope you are having fun in the kitchen. Remember we all have recipe fails! Don’t stress too much about holiday cooking. It doesn’t have to be Pinterest-perfect. But it should be fun!
I am always looking for tips to make life a little easier. My favorite cookie-hack-tool is a tablespoon measuring spoon. Yes, it is that simple! Spoon out all of your cookies with a tablespoon measuring spoon! I promise it will make your cookie factory run a little smoother. Here is why:
All of your cookies will be the same size
1. Which means they will cook evenly. There is nothing worse than having that one giant cookie that just won’t get done and the little cookie that is turing into a dark brown crisp.
2. Which means they will stack easier. Whether you are serving them on a pretty plate or stuffing the cookie jar; similar-sized cookies will make the job easier.
3. Which is perfect for coffee or cocoa. I love to have that perfect bite sized cookie to go along with a nice warm cup of coffee.
