Do you get in a snack rut with your kids? I found myself there recently, and I was quickly giving in to “quick” processed snacks. I needed something else so this Cinnamon Roll Granola is what I came up with. It’s easy to make, and can help get out of the snack rut.
My kids have recently started watching kids cooking shows, and they are in love. It has really piqued their interest in food and cooking. They are always looking for ways to help make their food or create new recipes. Cinnamon Roll Granola helped there because it’s an easy way to include the kids.
Cinnamon Roll Granola is a dump, stir and bake recipe. My 5-year-old LOVES stirring, so she jumped in to help combine the oats, pecans, maple syrup, oil and spices. Once it is stirred, you just dump in onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 18 minutes. Let it cool, and then you are ready for the white chocolate chips. They serve as the “icing” flavor for the Cinnamon Roll Granola.
Both of my kids helped sprinkle the white chocolate chips over the cooled granola. And that is it! It is ready for snack time.
One Minute Kitchen Hack: Go ahead and divide the granola into snack sized airtight containers. Now you have a grab and go snack ready for the next couple of days.
Cinnamon Roll Granola is a great easy snack.
- 2 cups Old Fashioned Oats
- 1/2 cup Pecan Pieces
- 1 tel Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Cardamon
- 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
- 2 tel Olive Oil
- 3/4 cup White Chocolate Chips*
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3.Combine in a bowl Oats, Pecan Pieces, Cinnamon, Cardamon, Maple Syrup, and Olive Oil. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
4.Bake for 15-18 minutes
5.Place cookie sheet on a cooling rack and let cool for 20 to 30 minutes. Check to make sure it is completely cool before adding White Chocolate Chips.
6.Sprinkle White Chocolate Chips over Granola. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
*I used Dairy Free Chips: King David Gourmet White Choco Chips
Cinnamon Roll Granola is great plain, with fruit, or sprinkled over yogurt!
