Fall Apple Pie French Toast Recipe
This recipe is not exactly a quick recipe, but it is a fun weekend treat that the whole family will enjoy. The Apple Pie French Toast recipe contains two cooking steps.
The first step is making the Apple Pie Spiced Bread, and the second is cooking it as french toast with an apple pie topping. I suggest making the bread the day before you would like french toast. You want the bread to be completely cooled before you cut it. If you cut the bread warm it will not hold together well enough to be dipped in egg and cooked.
The second step is to make super yummy french toast. This Apple Pie French Toast Recipe is a fun ode to Autumn and the hope of cooler temperatures.

- 2 cups Flour
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom
- 1/4 tsp All Spice
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Butter melted
- 3/4 Milk I used Unsweetened Coconut Milk.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a loaf pan. I prefer to grease my loaf pan with coconut oil, but cooking spray will work equally well.
Combine Flour, Baking Powder, Salt, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cardamom, All Spice, and Sugar with a fork or whisk in a medium bowl.
In a large bowl combine Apple Sauce, Eggs, Butter, and Milk. Mix either with a fork or an electric mixer with a paddle.
Slowly add dry mixture to wet ingredients making sure dry ingredients are completely mixed in before adding more. You will want to mix with an electric mixture of a fork. The dough is a thick consistency similar to a muffin batter once all dry and wet ingredients are combined.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Check bread for doneness. Allow bread to cool in pan for 5 minutes. Run knife around edges, take bread out of pan, and allow the bread to finish cooling on a cooling rack.
